We got up early to catch the train (around 7am something) from Martin Place station to Central station, and then switched to the intercity train to get to Katoomba station, where the Blue Mountains is. The Blue Mountains is no wonder one of the world’s heritage! Clean air, nice wind, gorgous view. But honestly, I felt more exciting with the town itself :) Katoomba is a nice small town, still managing to keep its antique look. I think adventure lovers would fall in love with the Blue Mountains right away though. For me, it was a nice, memorable visit to the Blue Mountains, but coming here for the second time (?), well, we don’t know yet :)

We took the intercity train to go to the Blue Mountains. It took about 2 hours to get there from Sydney. Departure: Central station. Arrival: Katoomba station.

Arrived at Katoomba station

There are many ways to the Blue Mountains, tours, bus, car rental. We found it affordable, fast and convenient to get there by taxi. Just make sure you get the taxi number for the ride back to the station.

I think the Three Sisters is the main spot of the Blue Mountains area. We were overwhelmed by the view from here ^^

The rest is filled with trees. I wonder why they don't call it the Green Mountains instead :)

You can actually go inside one of the Three Sisters

The plaza near the Three Sisters. They have restaurants and souvenir shops here. Bus and taxi stop right in front of this plaza.

Katoomba is quite a nice town

A main street in Katoomba. I like the way they decorate the road with that little clock :)
