Day 2: got up early, had a nice breakfast with Hokkaido yummy yogurt and milk, ready for another exciting day in Hokkaido.
Our first stop is Shiretoko National Park, which covers most of the Shiretoko Peninsula, one of the most remote regions of Japan. The park was recorded as one of the World Natural Heritage in 2005. Our second day was dedicated for Shiretoko.
On the way to Shiretoko, we stopped for lunch at a place famous for giant crabs…

Mr Sawai looks much more excited!

these giant crab legs cost about 100$/pack
then took the Shiretoko Tourist Ship called Aurora along Shiretoko Cape Line. The ship tour departing from Utoro Port to Kamuiwakka Falls and back takes about 1.5 hr (the whole tour to Cape Shiretoko takes about 3hr45m).
The weather was better than the first day’s, but was still cloudy and chilly. As we parted Utoro Port, everyone seemed to forget about the coldness as we were all attracted by the unique landscape of Shiretoko. ^^
